Was an incredibly cool app, you could use it to see constellations, planets, the ISS etc. Loved it. Now the developer has stripped almost every feature and put it behind a paywall. Oh well, plenty of alternatives.
I lowkey got addicted to this app. Now I don’t know what to say! You can see A LOT of great things in the sky! It’s so cool.
Ambient music does it for me🎶
I bought this app, got a new iPhone and now it wants me to pay for it again! The app doesn’t transfer to new phones!!
Kind of cool at first but the location gets totally off and clearly has things in the wrong part of the sky so pretty useless as a reliable way to identify stars.
It’s like the coolest thing I ever saw and you can feel the satellites moving and you could see the Hubble telescope and it tells you all the planets if you tap on it and all the like constellations it’s so cool. You should get it.🤩
For tonights’s total lunar eclipse, I wanted to find the moon and its trajectory. On the way, I saw the Hubble Space Telescope, beautiful Libra, and fierce Leo. I’m enchanted by the “spacey,” dreamy music. Thank you for this beautiful, peaceful world view. Ellen🌝
Moon doesn’t line up in florida
Love this app. So simple to use and quick to find what you are looking at. It’s fun and easy. Big fan.
I remember having to pay up to $10 to get an app with the kind of features as this one. It’s clean, intuitive, and easy to use. I’m somewhat shocked that it doesn’t come with a premium. Worth a download and dabble, especially for planet seeking.
This game is pretty fun and teaches you about each planet or constellation but the only problem I had was that there was no Neptune or Uranus and even though Pluto is not counted as a planet it’s still not there plus it’s not very accurate.
Just bad now. The app doesnt work for me anymore.
Awesome app, learning a lot.
Good
This is an outstanding app for stargazers. I use this regularly and show it off often to friends and family.
I love this app. My family loves this app. Its such a great resource, but recently I’ve had some troubles. Every now and then, my screen wont move! No matter which what way I turn it, delete the app and redownload, or play with the settings. Again, this may just be my fault. But this app is everything! I so need my moon phases, and when it’s at its highest.
In Hawaii now enjoying the night sky with SkyView. Seems I always use it a lot when traveling or wanting to identify a planet. I’ve shared the app with friends and interested strangers.
I need to pay 5 dollars for Neptune it’s a planet in our solar system this is insane talk about free experience
It's a pity that the essential planets of the solar system cannot be searched for easily. Neptune and Uranus are not searchable without paying, which is just crazy. I'm not paying for uranus.
Such a GREAT app. Having so much fun using it with my granddaughter! Highly recommend
You guys Should add Taurus's firey eye to the constellation thx
I wouldn’t really call this anything other than that because it showed constellations when I was pointing it to the ground.
For some reason, even on Jan. 25, during the planetary parade, this app refused to show Neptune or Uranus, even when using the search function. I had to download a completely different app just to view all the planets in the sky. I would not recommend using this app.
I bought the $3:00 version and it’s stuck looking at north. I deleted it redownloaded still stuck. This has been a problem for 8 months and I cannot use something I bought.
My parents would die if this app got canceled
I’ve been using this for years since I found it on my dad’s phone as a kid. It used to work perfectly, but around a year or two ago I realized the calibration was off slightly. I tried to find a way to reset it, but couldn’t find anything. The planets are there and you can often tell which ones are what star, but they aren’t in line with the stars. You can SEE the star youre pointing to on the camera, but the actual star/planet that it locates is very off from its visual point. This used to be a rare thing, but now its inconvenient to use the app because of how off it is. Hopefully there is a way to recalibrate and I just haven’t found it yet.
I saw planet’s aligned last night and I wanted to see all the planets to confirm. Really good app. Recommended.
I feel it used to be better now it doesn’t seem to sync or calibrate and when I manually calibrated with the moon, it will lose its calibration, If I get off that screen. There was one review saying it was a game. This is not a game.
Whatever else the app could be, I like it because it’s reliable, accurate, and easy to use. I’ve used it for years, not frequently, and not to a high level . I like the search features: you can locate your planet in the sky and find info about it. Friends I’ve shown have also enjoyed the app.
I’ve become frustrated by this app. I point at a bright light, clearly a planet, and get nothing. Then I notice that in the bottom right of the screen… there’s a conjunction of two planets. Barely even in the same region of the sky as actually thing. Done.
The Big Dipper was always apart of Orion‘s belt because that what everyone said and taught me that but whatever😡
At first I started liking it and I could see where a lot of planets, stars, constellations.. but then I noticed it doesn’t give you that much access to things so you have to buy to get more access so yeah..
As others have said, you look for the moon to get a bearing, and realize the app is several hand widths apart from the actual moon. It means you can’t use the app. Which is what it is for.
Used for years and when working it’s a 5 star. But the camera is frozen and no matter where I point my phone it’s stays as if I’m staring straight at north. Also no support for this problem so this app has become dead weight.
Every time I use this app I get back pain. One morning I looked like a hunchback.I almost broke my back looking for the Big Dipper.I was looking like a bent twig.I looked like a flexible straw. My back disconnected from the internet. Please fix this >:[
I had my location turned on while using this app and I was looking at the moon and when I pointed the camera at the moon it said the moon wasn’t there and instead it said the moon was right below me under my feet but I gave it 2 stars because although it’s inaccurate it’s still cool and fun to use
This app use to be awesome but now the location is off. Please update
It’s so inaccurate it tells me the moon is in a different spot than it actually is.
At first I didn’t believe it but I saw the moon in the place it was supposed to be and it’s cool how you can see the other side of the earth you should try ❤️
it is so cool. It shows you star signs you can search up star shows you the planet teaching my kid stars and planets
The app is fine as long as you have some star or planet to calibrate off of. That’s right you must calibrate this app each use or confuse a planet with some unknown star.
this app is so fun!! me and my family thought we saw venus outside but this app told us that it was actually jupiter!! i’ve always been fascinated by space but as some1 who livez in the city seeing planetz and starz is quite rare. but this app, it helpz me learn more abt space than school would ever bother 2 teach. the sightings feature is great 2! i’m hoping i can see saturn tonight!!!
I could not pull up my pants for a month soooo good Bye
Very nice app
Who ever made Skyview Lite is brilliant. I just got it today and love it. I have always been fascinated by the night sky, leading me to aspire to be an astronaut when I grow up. This app helps me grow my fascination by being able to name the constellations, satellites, and planets that I see. There is just one problem. I believe that you should make it where you don’t have to pay money to get Uranus and Neptune to show up. I think that you should be able to have the whole solar system unlocked when you first get the app. This is just a suggestion. Thank you again for making such a wonderful and brilliant app.
This was our favorite app for a long time to check out the sky but nothing aligns anymore. Even resetting everything, tried manual and auto calibration with no luck. Before you could point your phone directly at what you’re seeing in the sky and it perfectly lined up. Now, it’s way off and there are so many stars in the same vicinity that you can’t tell what is what. So now we’re on the hunt for another app.
Can you add the James Webb telescope please
At first I pointed to sky and the app told me I was seeing everything , I was like wow but I looked into sky myself and didn’t see it, then the bad part , as I pointed my phone towards my yard it said my flower was a space Hubble and my yard was a galaxy so with that being said oh then I came inside and all of a sudden I had the whole galaxy in my room, lol. Well this app absolutely does not work! Sorry but no good.
It said the moon was below us even tho it was nighttime.
